Having confirmed Sagramore's well-being for himself, and escaped more or less unscathed, Mordred has one more thing to see to. He did agree to it; it even pleases him, in a way, to have something to do that Sagramore's self-appointed protector approves.

The party at the Mare, which began on a relatively decent note (yay St. George!), did not end nearly as well, and it's been a few days since Laura's been in Xanadu. Luckily the number on her poster was for a mobile.

"Yeah?" she says warily, not bothering to considering how that sounds.

So, a week later, she's in the agora with a plastic shopping back in one hand, the other resting lightly on her hip (she can't shake the feeling that there should be a gun there), her hair pulled back into its usual tight ponytail. The only deviation from the norm is that now she has a heavy leather jacket thrown over her thin shoulders.
