I forget which location it's in, but have you been to the campground in the Everglades where you can watch the birds flyover during their evening migration from their daytime perches over the water to the island where they spend the night? They fly directly over one particular area of the campground just before/at dusk. Fairly low, too. It's just spectacular!
I'm harboring fantasies of meeting you over there for a short spell next winter. (During winter break of grad school, of course.)
