Hello, Friends;

I could use some help.

I'm working on a research paper about Pagan practice with respect to Death and Dying. I haven't found much written material beyond The Pagan Book of Death and Dying put out by Starhawk, M. I have found meditations and such in pagan books, but nothing that is nuts and bolts like PBOLAD. I still can't believe what a fabulous job it did -

Instead, when Laurie and I have done, to some extent, to document the project we're doing for our Certificate in Thanatology, is to turn to journals of psychology for support (non-pagan support) for why we do what we do (for example, why the trance drum is effective).

I am on a yahoo list of pagan thanatology, but there isn't much activity, so I haven't heard much there. Sorry I can't be of more help!

I am not in the broom closet at home or at work in a large hospital specifically cardiac. (PCU, CCU, MI and SI) If you are interested from a nursing point of view drop me a line. I have worked hospice in the past. redswirl3@hotmail.com

You might want to add kingofthewho to your collection of interesting people to quote. He's both a fairly well-known musician (Emerald Rose) and an ICU nurse -- things I'm pretty comfortable stating in public, since he does so himself.

Best and blessings -- :Dana
