Troubled Waters, Part 5

Jun 22, 2006 19:50

Rating:  PG, Gen

Summary:  In northwestern Washington, Sam and Dean run into a cult, missing people, plagues, some really humid weather, and possessed trees.

Disclaimer:  Not being delusional, I don’t own anything.  The geography in this story is fairly accurate; everything else is fiction.  Oh, and apologies to William Butler Yeats.

Yea! New chapter! Weird creepiness abounds, along with a kick-ass heat and humidity index. Loved the description of the air in the hotel room--very apt.
Looking forward to more.

Hey, thanks. I've sort of had to imagine the heat and humidity... summer has yet to fully arrive here, but nearly all the motels I've been in have had thermostat issues. I just described the ones I've stayed at.

*points outside* well, humidity is lower but you just described the weather here! *grins*

Curiouser and curiouser! Can't wait to see the next chapter!

Dude, house decorated entirely in pink?! Sheesh, that'd make me run away to join a cult!!! *blinks* well, just run away actually.

Oh, pink. I have trouble with pink in small quantities, never mind a houseful of it. (That said, my house is entirely blue. But that's different, right?) This weekend, summer's supposed to arrive here in full force--30 Celsius, here we come. Ugh.

30 Celsius.. *attempts to do the math* Wait, I know. *checks outside thermometer* It's about 35 celsius here. Second day in a row.

Blue house? Totally different.

Guess I should have said it was going to be 30 degrees, period, and you'd have thought we'd get snow. Instead, I'll feel sorry for you--35 C is hot! It's funny, Celsius and kilometres are about the only metric measurements I'm comfortable with (but miles and Fahrenheit are fine, too), even though this country supposedly went metric like 40 years ago.

Have I told you how much I love Mrs. Edwards? I LOVE Mrs. Edwards. I think I should have told you that Mrs. Edwards should have joined them on this one. Y'know. Hopped a bus down from Van, tooled around in the Impala with the boys. Just bugging the crap out of them and telling them to eat properly.

Oh my gosh, I can see it now. "Gasp! You didn't put on your blinker at that corner! I'm shocked and appalled! Shocked and appalled, I tell you. Why, I remember when my Henry, back in--was it 1985 or '86?--didn't signal..."

Maybe if I, heaven forbid, write another chapter story, it will take place in Vancouver and it'll be solving another of Mrs Edwards' problems.
