Title:  Troubled Waters

Rating:  PG, Gen

Summary:  In northwestern Washington, Sam and Dean run into a cult, missing people, plagues, some really humid weather, and possessed trees.

Disclaimer:  As usual, I don’t own anything.  The geography in this story is fairly accurate; everything else is fiction.  Oh, and apologies to William Butler Yeats.

There's so many funny bits here. I still love the stilted contractionless speech, and the quote. That quote's just so fine. You're nipping and tucking in just the right spots...

The lack of contractions... so hard to write. Some of them I caught as I typed, but most I had to go back over and hunt down the apostrophes and get rid of them. Nipping and tucking--plastic surgery for the written word.

Have you read The Phantom Tollbooth? I think I'd heard of it as a kid, but I never read it until last fall when I stumbled across it on one of those tables at the front of Chapters that contain (a) books I've already read, or (b) books I absolutely never want to read, with the sole exception of Tollbooth. It is absolutely hilarious. It's about words, mainly.

So this guy's doing the biblical plagues, right? That makes me a little nervous, considering #10 is "death of the firstborn."

Ah, well. Dean's in trouble; must be Tuesday.

Don't worry, I'm not a mass murderer. Well, um, not quite. I guess you'll see in a few chapters.

Incidentally, your icon is hilarious!

Dean as RCMP, what a hoot!! Naturally the RCMP always drive late 60's muscle cars with Kansas plates (I wish!)

Naturally. Are you Canadian, too?

Indeed, I'm a GTA gal. ( And when I find the RCMP officer who looks like Dean and drives a muscle car...)

So sad, I've not found one yet, either, here on the West Coast (I live in a suburb of Vancouver).
