We had a pair growing up.. Lots of Esto's had them..
In 1941 they were introduced in Sweden, the german ones that were the inspiration were too expensive..
The guy who invented and marketed these orange stars, went on to start the precursor to H&M...
Just some lame design history trivia..
(We only have 1 left, and its falling apart, its from the 1940's but still not an original.. I have a buddy in Sweden who might be getting me two early reproductions.. Im waiting on his email)
