Oh I really really liked this! I love the idea of Jim being the best uncle ever and Bones slowly melting into the joys of winter with him!

I see Jim being kind of terrified of babies because they're quite soft and breakable and he's not sure what to DO with them, but once they're old enough to chatter at him being completely in love. thank you!

*sniffles* Oh, this is gorgeous and funny and full of love. I'll be honest, I'm afraid some of these space_married fics are going to give me cavities, but this was perfect -- sweet without being saccharine, and wonderfully in character. *hugs this fic*

thank you! I drove myself a little nuts with "oh god, did you just go there? you did. Do something to unstickify it now." It's nice to hear the balance of N'AWWWWWWWWWWW was maintained without sliding over into Precious Moments territory.

Jim totally gave one to Spock once, claiming it was a traditional Earth token of regard. Spock got his revenge by cooking dinner in his quarters and leaving a particular cookbook out in a position for nosy people to discover about halfway through the meal. Jim was vaguely nauseated for a week before Spock informed him that while humans consider that vegan, Vulcans don't.

thank you; schmoop is a weakness of mine, so it's nice to hear I'm not embarrassing myself too much ;)

ok, first of all your Jim and Bones are made of awesome so I must squee that you liked this! I totally stole my grandparents' house for this, and the despair I feel every damn morning in the winter when I'm gearing up to leave my house to go to work. And the Kirk horde--I'm extrapolating from what that cocky bastard James T. would have been like with a happy childhood, and it fills me with fear and trembling.

thank you. I kind of think that David McCoy is Bones' touchstone, that he measures things by 'what would Dad have done?' and I also think Jim knows what it means to get that ring, whether they ever do the deed on paper or not.

This was gorgeous! Simply beautiful! It was warm, tender hearted, loving, and fabulous! The ending choked me up a bit with McCoy sliding his dad's ring onto Jim's finger.

Lovely!

thank you! While McCoy takes a voluptous pleasure in kvetching, I think he's simple and direct where his heart's engaged and it's no easier for him to go there than Jim. Which is part of why they work so well.
