:opens the door and catches Naike as she starts to fall: Sorry. I didn't realize you were right there.

:shrugs a bit and sips at her tea again: I'm the Maia of Death. When you die and go to Mandos, I'm the one you talk to to get back out. Plus, I have something of a temper and a well-deserved reputation for being good with my swords.

Oh. Okay. ::nods lightly, even though it's pretty obvious none of it is really sinking in:: But I'm sure you only get angry at people who deserve it.

That's true. And really, I think people mind more about the Maia of Death part.

I can imagine they would. ::rests her hand on her stomach unconsciously and takes another sip of her tea::

So tell me about yourself. Do you have a name for the baby, yet?

[norolinde]

My name's Naikele. I used to live with some Elfs, but I hit my head and so I can't remember what came before them. I guess I was pregnant before then, but they don't know who the father could be anymore than I do.

I left them a few months ago and came here because it seemed right, and I've been here ever since, no closer to remembering anything and not sure if I want to because of the person I might have been.

And I don't have a name for the baby yet because I haven't thought of one.

Oh, my sympathies. Losing your memory can be rough. :pats her shoulder: My daughter's name is Opal. She's almost seven months old.

Oh! That's a lovely name. Do you have someone to take care of her now?

[jadegemini]

:nods: I have an assistant, Uruviel. Most of the time she watches Opal when I'm not around. My other helper, Hama, he watches the baby, too, when he's not too busy.

[norolinde]

Mmm. I'm not keeping you busy, am I? The tea was wonderful . . .

:waves a hand: No, not at all. It's always a pleasure to meet new people. Would you like some more tea?
