So apparently this Yule thing is a pretty big deal around here. I guess it does sound really nice....and since I'm unsure about the feeling about it in regards to my current situation, I think I will just do some simple gifts if nothing else to express my gratitude to the people that are in my life. Friends and family...

It sounds fun either way.

From what I've seen, Yule's a bigger deal in the big cities. But either way, it's not as serious as capital people tell you. Presents don't fucking matter. Yule's always just been about sharing time together with the ones you care about and offering up some of the harvested goods you've stored and used to make baked treats. That and only that. It's just a celebration of realizing what you've been through in the year that's been so far. Then the New Year celebration will be the welcoming of the things that are about to come.
