I just hit 10,000 words in my AU doc, everyone. Now, some of those words are in note form, but not many of them and that makes me happy. Also, some other things that are making me happy

This mysterious non-cold throat-hurty, body-achy, super-tired situation that has developed over the past few days. Ugh--this is exactly what I had--maybe it is making the round of the mid-atlantic states :( I feel better today--so that was ~5 days....Hope it goes away sooner for you!
Just Tylenol/ibuprofen for the aches--massive caffeine for the days when I had to get stuff done (like packing and driving us back from the beach)--napping when I didn't have to. I did take a Tylenol pm a couple of nights because it was messing with my sleep...
On the other hand, long sweaty yoga sessions and swimming to get it out of my system did not work (though they sometimes do with colds)--I feel better for having stayed out of the heat yesterday and not exercised.
Thanks! I took some dayquil this morning after picking it up from the grocery store. And I am actually feeling better. However, it probably won't last. :/
I seriously think that part of the throaty hurt thing is because everyone has been living with the air conditioning on for the past week. Drink plenty of fluids and try to stay cool.
Oh! OH!!!
"The AU is awesome, if I do say so myself. I'm having a blast writing it. Despite the fact that it is so full of angst, it is also full of awesome. *bragbragbrag* Sorry, I'll stop now."
Isn't it fantastic when you get to the point when you can re-read something you wrote and think this? Usually writers are so down on themselves. Your satisfaction with your writing is a real sign of maturity, professionalism, and achievement. Go, you!

Oh man, thanks! I don't know about maturity, since the things not even done yet and I'm all "it's the best ever." But yes, I really feel a lot more comfortable in my writing that I did this time last year, and I have a feeling a lot of it is beause of all the practice writing for Justified has given me. :)
How would you feel about being a second beta? I've had Rilla helping me all along because I need instant gratification and reassurance on some of this stuff, but I'd really like someone to take a look at the whole thing when it's done before I post it up. Y/Y? <3

How are you feeling today, honeypie? Sorry I dropped off last night. I totally fell asleep again. Stupid summer non-coldy-thing.

And OMG, this scene. It's sooo long. Like, if the story was a real pilot we would officially need two hours now, no commercials. :P
