When you get writer's block, what are some tricks you use to get out of it?

I hope this doesn't sound too terribly masturbatory, but I often reread my old fic when I am trying to get out of writer's block. It's like looking back in time and telling myself, "Look at this thing you wrote that one time! You can do it again! It's not that hard!"

I also start reading other people's fic and making myself jealous that I didn't write what they wrote.

Though lately, it's really been more of a time question than a blocked question that is keeping me from writing as much as I'd like to. :/

Not at all! One of my consistent test for my writing is, 'can I reread this and enjoy it as a reader?' and one of the questions I ask myself regularly when I'm writing is, 'if I were reading this cold, what would I WANT to have happen next?'

Absolutely, hands-down, the time. If I had an extra two hours in each day to just write... god, that would be fabulous.

I was wondering if you will still be writing for the Labyrinth fandom?

At this point in time, I really can't see it. Labyrinth doesn't inspire me the way that it did several years ago. I have way too many ideas in my current fandom and my few outlier fandoms to go back to labyrinth right now.

I wish I could, however my talents do not go in the way of writing anything entertaining. Now give me a stack of medicare billing forms and I will bore your socks off!

I am a little disappointed that you will not be writing anymore laby fic, very few authors are as skilled as you at world-building. I so wanted to see what happened next after The Way Forward.

I am glad you are still writing for Justified. I usually only read magic or fantasy related fandoms but I have really enjoyed your Justified fics.
