Very beautiful! I enjoyed the allegory with the snow and Timo's innocence, and the fact that Lord Densen doesn't try to tarnish it in any way despite his anger/jealousy.

I like how Denmark seems so... calm and competent here. I don't see it much in stories dealing with this time period, unfortunately.

(And of course the hints of Norway and Sweden's relationship were wonderful)

The likening of Finland's innocence (or obliviousness) to the snow was also a nice touch.

I think Denmark just has more depth than people give him credit. I'd like to imagine that the breaking up of the union broke something in him, but that until that point he was calm and cool the same way Sweden and Norway are almost.

(Always SuNor :D)

Thanks! When I read the prompt with Finland I just thought of him being like the snow in so many ways.

Whoa this was amazing! Really beautiful! I usually don't like it when Finland is made completely oblivious and wimpy, but this really worked and I even loved the way Sweden's patronising behaviour made me bristle. But I think my favourite things was your portrayal of Denmark. Subtle and intelligent. A real treat!

I know what you mean; it's one thing if it's from youth, it's another when he's just written as an idiot instead of the powerful nation he eventually becomes. Younger Nords though intrigue me, who they were compared to who they became and what's still there, Denmark especially. I'm glad you enjoyed it all though!

Just because I reread this yesterday and I never commented there, but I really wanted to say how perfect and well written this was. Also, your characterisation of Denmark was spot on, something very rare indeed in Hetalia nordics fic :)

I'm so glad you liked it! I'm really proud of Denmark in this, it's so rare I get to write something that allows him to not be the bad guy (though Norway and Sweden can be just as big of bad guys).
