More reading

I'm sort of in a Harry Potter-craze right now. Have ordered all remaining books, as number 4 came by mail today. I've also seen Prisoner of Azkaban and I didn't like that movie as much as the first and second. Too many things in the plot were altered, and also Hogwarts and its grounds looked and felt different. I know people say that the books get ( Read more... )

Hehe... the magical world is addictive, isn't it?
How many books have you read (in Swedish or English) and how many movies have you seen?
I heard that movie 3 and 4 were worst in leaving out stuff from the corresponding books. In part 5, I didn't think the omissions were disturbing at all. I can't wait to see the movies for 6 and especially 7. A few more years...

Hehe, I'm sort of surprised by your question, I thought I was pretty clear as to which books I've read and which movies I've seen. :)
As mentioned, number 4 came by mail yesterday, thus I've started reading it. I've seen movie number 3, which means I have finished reading the third book, and that I've also read books 1 and 2 (as mentioned earlier in this journal) and seen their respective movies. (If you recall, I wrote in my post that I didn't like the third movie as much as the two first ones, due to too many changes.)
So far I've read 4 chapters of the new book, and I can understand if they need to alter some of it to fit too screen, since it's very thick, but you can do changes in a good way and you can do them in a bad way. I know there's another director for number 4, hopefully I will like his work better.
Can't wait to get back from work today so I can go to bed and read some more. XD

Doesn't seem a very clever question either, eh?

Well, I'm a bit confused by (garbled) information outside this entry. I thought you mentioned before having read other books in Swedish So I assumed you might have read more / all of them in Swedish already, and this is a re-read of all of them in English.

And I guessed that you might have seen other movies before reading the books; like I did myself. Read parts of books and saw movies in subsequent but intertwined order...

Oh well... at least it's a comment which counts towards my monthly stats :-p

I did mention that I had read the first book, and I started reading the second but never finished it. Those were in Swedish. I've seen the 1st and 2nd movie, the second one by mistake or something, cause why would I wanna see it if I hadn't read the book? Well, I didn't remember much of the film luckily, so it wasn't as though I had spoiled anything for myself.
Now that I wanted to give Harry Potter yet another chance (cause I did like the first book in Swedish, I don't know why I didn't finish the second book) I wanted to read them in their original language.

Yey for monthly stats. ;)
