I agree with a lot of what you've said. Although I took a different route. I was an Obama supporter back in 2004 after the Keynote speech, I wanted him to run in 2012, but when I saw he was running this year, I was a bit worried that he hadn't gotten enough under his belt, At that point I hung my hat on Mitt Romney. Reluctantly. But I figured he was a great governor of my state, my only worry was his crazy waffling on social issues. Once McCain was the nominee I really researched both candidates hard to find anything that could sway me, I went with Obama due to the fact that he gives America something it's never had, an instant face lift in the inter-national community. This among a few other things got me to vote for Obama (Not that it matters in my state since we never vote GOP :P)
