These are the 2 shows I really, really wanted to see but just couldn't due to a lack of time and money. I'm glad I didn't see Sapphires and utterly depressed i didn't see MCB. But, Slingsby has been dropping hints on facebook, so who knows?

Also, I want you to review Vs Macbeth and The Sound and the Fury because I love your reviews and I love being about to read what you think :P

There is no way MCB has finished it's life here, it is just too good. I'm pretty sure those hints means it's going to continue, hopefully with a return season! I've got my fingers crossed for you.

I was never completely excited about The Sapphires: I'd read a review or heard word-of-mouth that it was silly fun, so if you went in expecting good music but a not great story you'd love it: and some people did! It got some great feedback! But for me, the script was just so bad.

Aw, thank you :D I'm trying to review every play I see this year, even if it's just a paragraph. That goal kinda got lost amongst festival madness, but I'm playing catch up now. Vs Macbeth is a couple hundred words in, I'm not sure when I'll do The Sound and The Fury.

I always start out intending to review, but it just has that horrible year 12 vibe to it, and since i have twitter to talk to about these things, i feel like have enough of an outlet not to need to :P Besides, I have enough trouble finding inspiration for the column every week, and, let's face it, I'm just a bit too fangirl to write a decently critical review for any show starring a male actor under 40.

I was mainly really really excited for the Sapphires because it really really seemed like the jewel (oh, i'm so funny!) of State Theatre's season at the launch. Considering it was terrible, I'm losing hope for the rest of it (bar anything Geordie Brookman does, because i worship his work).

Sound and the Fury was awesome but I can't say I really really enjoyed it (possibly due to the tourists sitting next to me, but not entirely). I would still love to see your review :P
