I can't think of much than is worse than knowing that soon, possibly within the hour, I and my mother will be receiving a phone call telling us that a dear friend of ours has passed away. This friend was taken off of life support on Sunday, and last we heard her breathing was very shallow and her heart rate was about 40 some beats per minute. I
