A Catholic View to Prop H8

Hello, I am new to this community - I'm from Los Angeles. Even though I'm not old enough to vote ((14, y'see)), my family and I supported NO on Prop H8. Then, again, everyone in this community has. But what makes my family a rarity among people of our congregation is that we are also Roman Catholics.

Thank you for first of all having such a strong political sense even though you're not old enough to vote, but also for showing you can be a religious person (regardless of what that religion that may be) and still use your own judgment about what you feel is right.

Your post is short and to the point. Some of my strongly Christian friends are also strong supporters of prop 8, but many of them like you. The Bible can be contradictory and it shouldn't be taken word for word. The whole point of Christianity is love :]
