1) Yes. It was a very cool movie, I really enjoyed it. But I must say, you realize how much of the story is the travelling. The movie cuts off so much of that, because there is just mountains of distance to cover in a single 3-hour stint. The imagery was magnificient, the fights were great, and of course the story was second to none for fantasy. The only strange moment I had was the bit with Galadriel. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I was like "uh... weird... not mental picture" :P
