I have a real hard time cooking on a gas grill. Charcoal I can kick it's ass and make it my bitch, not an issue, but something about gas throws me off my game. i learned on a charcoal grill (my mom taught me how to light one without lighter fluid!) and so i'm most comfortable with them. you actually have to keep your eye on the gas grill, apparently. as marshall said last night "it's not a ronco, you can't just set it and forget it". so sweet, my husband-to-be. :)

i would LOVE to have a charcoal grill. not only is the flavor superior, they're just easy to use all-around. temp regulation takes some practice, but if you're just straight grilling, there's nothing better.
