"yes we can!"

because i was not in the music mood and cannot force myself to listen to other radio stations, i've been receiving constant coverage of the democratic national convention this entire week. it's only in the evening, but after about the first day, i was tired of it. all the speeches sounded the same and the correspondences were providing little-to- ( Read more... )

I do have to say, things have been pretty inspiring all around when it comes to the democratic campaign.

Sadly, I caught a clip of a larry king interview with some conservative guy, and I can see the spin machine is warming up. It sounded like he said that Obama has voted to do nothing about the current energy problem, and also that he voted for Bush's energy bill, which is different from the energy plan Obama currently is advocating, which makes him a hypoocrite. Or something. I don't know how you can reconcile those two statements.

And white chocolate mochas are nummy. Waiting sucks.

oh, i'm sure the spin machines were going non-stop throughout this convention and the spin machines for the dems will be doing the same thing next week. that's just the nature of politics. :\

Hillary made it as much about her as she could. They wouldn’t even have had to go through the roll call if she hadn’t pushed for it-all so she could come off the hero.

And being the Starbucks expert around here, have you ever seen a frap separate and get all marbly after it sat for a minute? That happened to me at two different stores in the last couple of weeks, and it grossed the coffee slingers out both times.

yeah, i know. i can plainly see that she comes off the hero in the end.

yes, i have seen that happen. fraps left sitting out will separate into the ice bits and the liquid parts. i've had people complain to me about this when they pick up their drink and it has separated. it wouldn't have happened if you didn't take 10 minutes to pick up your drink. in any case, just shake it up and it'll be back to what it should be. i'm not a huge fan of fraps, to be honest. they're too sweet. :)
