Its a little silly. But sometimes when I have been at my wits end and I have made a pros and cons list. It can be incredibly silly, and don't really weigh one over the other by the number of pros or the number of cons. But you might surprise yourself by writing a pro or con that completely makes the decision for you. Its almost an automatic writing exercise if you are upset enough that you are just letting things out. It can also be really cathartic to just let all your worries out. And some folks burn things like this when they are done writing to let it all go to the elements.
Good idea--and not at all silly. I remember writing such a list when I had to make a really difficult decision when I was almost 18. Once I had the list completed, I could see what course I needed to take, even though it wasn't what I wanted.
When burning the list, I would add in a request for a sign as to which way to go, if the process of creating the list hadn't gotten me to a decision. If I had reached the decision, I would add a request for assistance in implementing the decision in the best way.
