This past Saturday I went to Context, a literary science fiction convention in Columbus. I'm really glad I went. Panels I attended:

It was nice seeing you too. I'm sorry we didn't get more of a chance to talk. Maybe next year I'll be able to go for all three days.

I'm really curious, what was the, "Is there a Future for the Classics of SF" panel about?

Mostly panelists saying, "Kids today don't read the classics any more!" ;-) But it was an interesting conversation. Which texts are considered classics, why children and young adults read what they read, and how difficult it is to keep up with the sheer volume of sf novels published today were all discussed.
