Too bad SB5 goes into effect tomorrow. It's already hitting my workplace. Up until now, my employer has paid the employee contribution to OPERS, which is an awfully nice thing for them to do. SB5 FORBIDS employers to do that, so now they've stopped (though they subsequently raised everyone's salary so they don't get pinched by this; again, a very nice thing to do).
If SB5 gets repealed in November (please please), they probably won't switch back to paying the employee portion. But at least we'd be spared further nonsense.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'd thought that if the proposed bill made it to the ballot, SB 5 might be put on hold until after the election. I guess that's not the case.
