life update - professional conference

Exciting news - I'm going to the Modern Languages Association conference in Philadelphia just after Christmas. My original plan was to drive (approximately a seven hour trip.) Yesterday, my parents offered to pay for me to fly there instead

If it were me, I'd fly. But then again, I hate driving.

Other reasons: I'd not want to travel on Christmas day, and I'd want to be in company for New Year's.

Fly, the weather is far to unpredictable and holiday traffic will negate any pros there are to driving.
