I admit it, I have read the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer; and no, it's not as bad as you've probably heard.

And the plot.... like seriously the amount of action is minuscule. But... Meiers keeps you turning pages. Have you read all of them? I found Breaking Dawn kinda creepy weird.

That's what I love about the series. Meyer focuses on characterization rather than traditional action sequences. It's not about battles with vampires, plus some romance on the side; it's about a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire physically and emotionally frozen at 17 who is addicted to her rare blood type. So the emphasis is on relationships, with the occasional supernatural battle interrupting the plot.

Have you read all of them?

Yes, even Midnight Sun.

I found Breaking Dawn kinda creepy weird.
Me too, especially everything to do with Renesme. The series would have been fine as a trilogy.

I haven't read Midnight Sun out of respect for the "it's not finished" bit Meiers asked for. I haven't seen the movies yet. No real desire to. Working at the bookstore last year burned me out on that. Seriously not the end of the world that we sold out of twilight calendars people. But the series definitely got people reading and that is a very good thing.

I wouldn't have read Midnight Sun if Meyer hadn't linked to it from her own website, and said she doesn't intend to finish it. Since she did link to it I felt it was fair game.

But it certainly is an ethical quandry.
