Ooh, this is so much fun. I love how... accepting Lex is of his obsession.

every facet of Lex's mental processes was infected. Love really is a disease. :D

And again, and unfurled his body to Lex's urgent touch. Just so pretty.

That's something about Lex that I find perfect and essential: he knows what he is. He doesn't prevaricate or agonize; these are the facts. It makes for a complicated, unapologetic morality.

I think he probably does think love is like a disease, though. He's so willful; but love strips you of your will, in a way it's like surrendering control.

I think you're mostly right, in that he knows what he is and he's honest about that with himself.

And love/Clark gives him a different standard that what he's used to, one that doesn't fit easily into his life.

*sigh* Oh, boys.

My job is boring and I have been writing 'fix-it' ideas in my head all day. (None on paper, and nothing that I'd want to actually write out, but it's a fun way to keep my mind busy at work.)

Oh yes, with himself. Lex also puts fort whatever kind of exterior he thinks will serve him best; but I think he has no illusions about what he himself is.

I love the notion of Lex's iron will - and Clark as the one thing he can't exert that will over.

I can't go five minutes without thinking Clex some days. It's like heaven :)

Nice day-in-the-life of Lex, whose every thought revolves around Clark, LOL. And I'm sure Clark has some thoughts of Lex, too. :)

The last line is so beautifully-written.

That's my Lex. Totally obsessed and totally comfortable with it, now that he knows Clark will be there for him.
