Quotes

I decided after my last post that i wanted to look over a book i kept when i was a kid. In a composition book i wrote quotes that i liked or that meant a lot to me. Well, when i was 16 a guy that i liked (but didn't like me back) and i had a conversation. He and i were fairly good friends and I'm glad he was able to ignore the obvious fact that i ( Read more... )

that is a wonderful quote and so very true.

I was always amazed at how Darren and found each other. Neither of us was looking for a bf/gf. Fate or more likely, God, made sure our paths crossed and we found each other when we weren't looking.

Is everything ok. Your last post had me worried.

The exact same thing happened to Mike and I (Well, to me, actually)I had a long streak of being treated badly by guys I had been dating since I was around 18. By the time I was 22, I said, "Enough is ENOUGH!" and just quit searching. In about six months, I met Mike and, BAM, that was it!

It's funny how life is sometimes, isn't it? I went from being treated like dirt, to being treated like a queen so fast it almost made my head spin and I am forever grateful for that :)

I believe without a doubt God did that for us. It's too long of a story to post it, though.

God DOES have a plan. And honestly (i'm not saying this to be mean or insensitive or anything like that) it's different for guys. GIRLS have a finite amount of time in which they can really have a family and such... it's not the same for men. Guys can get married in their 40s (to a woman in her early 30s) and still start a family and everything... but by the time a woman is in her mid to late 30s it's pretty much getting to be too late for them to do such a thing. It's extremely rare for women to have children past the age of 40 or so (especially their FIRST child at that age ( ... )

Re: more time to wait nonickname96 April 10 2007, 16:21:36 UTC
you are also assuming that a man at age 40 will marry a woman in hear early 30s.

It's more likely for a woman to marry and older man than the other way around... . .. . . But yes, it's still an assumption.

And yeah, it's sad to wait so long... but life isn't OVER if you don't get married by the end of your 20s. There are things I won't DO anymore now that i'm married... (most likely i won't be traveling as much and such like that)

I can understand your frustration (or at least i can IMAGINE how i would feel in your position), but i still believe that God DOES have a plan for you and for your life. I'm hoping that things work out with a job soon for you. I'm sure that must be mucho frustrating!
