I am opposed to this legislation too but something has to be done to protect intellectual property rights. If nothing is done, then copyright laws might as well be done away with.

I actually disagree with a lot of copyright laws. Fair use is way too low of a priority. A lot fo people do things that violate copyright laws without even meaning to.... just trying to use a product that they own a copy of (Example: If you rip a DVD that you bought that "won't play" you've broken the law and can be sent to jail for up to 5 years and fined hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's INSANE ( ... )
