i've not been fond of Frank MacEowen's writings. the first article of his i read was little more than an extended advertisement for his fairly expensive seminars, and what i've seen of his books is little better. much of what he's doing seems to be little more than Harner-style "core shamanism" with Celtique terminology.

I'm just about to read that book so I will have to get back to you on this one. I get the impression you either love it or hate it.

I tried to read his first book, and didn't get very far before I threw it across the room in disgust. It's useful as litterbox lining, perhaps, but not much else. This author is Thomas Moore (the "Care of the Soul" guy) with a light sprinkling of pseudo-Irish spices, i.e., schlocky, watered-down new agery geared to making workshop money from baby boomers into discovering their "roots". If you seriously want to read it, borrow it from the library.
