Flor Tiles

Hey!

Make decisions for me.

I like the idea of Flor Tiles. They are very well regarded by a lot of random internet people. They are green(ish). I recently discovered their outlet and they have this pattern:

They are super nice (I see no link but I googled)!

But...harder to keep clean than hardwood+foam tiles I think, and less padding for baby noggins. Also the foam tiles are $15 for four tiles the same size. I guess it depends how attached you are to not having bright primaries!

You can pick up individual tiles and wash them with soap and water!

We'd have to install laminate if we wanted it... and we'd get kitty tumbleweeds under the crib...

Oh right! And you can put this stuff over the existing carpet? Cool! I say do it up.

I like the teal stripes better than the ABCs.

Oh, what I'd really like to do is a checkerboard like so: http://www.flor.com/service/flor/configurator/main.html?length=5&width=6 (hopefully that works)... but then it is expensive.

I know a couple of people who have used Flor tiles, and they all like them. I'd use them if I had an appropriate space.

The Flor tiles are pretty sweet - Dooce is all about them. If we hadn't already had our lovely hardwood refinished, I would have looked at something like that.
I am, though, totally all over cork for my kitchen floor when we redo it, as much as I adore my current black and white checkerboard. I love the colour, not the icky sticky tile. :(

The regular priced tiles are a LOT more expensive than carpet or whatever.

But so, so pretty.

I don't think I can make a great judgement, bot I don't thibk you'd be ruining your nursery to have something that wasn't perfectly party to a theme.
I'm leaning toward using an asian altar style cabinent for a changing table though, in a non-asian themed room. Possibly even unthemed. Eek!
