It's been so busy this year! It's hard to see anything, since there are crowds everywhere. I didn't even know there were ME figures! I shall have to search harder.
As for DA, I think you won't be disappointed. It's a ton of fun.
DA2 sounds interesting. The few screenshots I've seen must not do it justice, because they actually look pretty low-res (even compared with DA1). However, I've known games to release unimpressive screenshots for impressive-looking games before.
Generally, I'm in favor of the application of ME dialogue and I'm even okay with a single protagonist. I was skeptical of the first DA:O and I turned out to be wrong, so I'm willing to give this one a wide berth.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to check it tomorrow.
A thought though based on your latter comments... why do I get the feeling you really don't like Obsidian?
Haha, I'm not sure where you got that idea - I looked through my post, and I don't see anything that would indicate that I hate Obsidian? I didn't like that I couldn't get in due to the preconceptions that a lot of people in line had, but I was trying to get in to see the Obsidian writing staff, so...
I gotta ask since I'm seeing the news reports of the protesting and counter protesting - have you seen any of that going on? It looked like the counter protest was completely hilarious (and the Commander Shepard sign made me die laughing).
I saw them, but didn't even realize it - there were only two or three of them, and the signs were pretty tame. One of them yelled "If you died today, where would you end up?", but that seems kind of... not very nasty as compared to their usual stuff. And their signs were pretty basic "God hates your sins" stuff. Just not up to their usual vitriol. I think I left before the counter-protest, sadly, since what I saw online was hilarious.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really miss the Westboro folks, though it would have been fun to see the counter-protesters.
