[Dawn's still feeling pretty awkward from a certain conversation that took place over the weekend, so she's doing the sensible thing - completely avoiding anything that might make her think about it.  Early Monday morning before school, a call goes out to the town, complete with her best fake sick noises.]

Friend is still friend?

Yeah, we're still friends, but... I don't know. It's different now.

"I guess I should probably start at the beginning.

There's another friend of both of ours who I was talking to about him. And she was telling me about how they went on a date together during that weird age-switching event that happened a few weeks ago, and how she remembered it but he didn't. She seemed pretty sad, so I told her she should ask him on another one so they could go on a date they'd both remember.

But then she got droned, and my other friend was sad about it. We got to talking, and I told him that I was pretty sure she liked him, and about how I said she should ask him out when she came back. But he didn't seem interested. So now I'm worried she will ask him, because he'll turn her down if she does and it'll be my fault for encouraging her!

And on top of that, when I asked if he thought she was cute at all, he said he didn't know, but that he thought I was cute! So I don't know how to feel about any of it. He and I can't go out together - it'd be like betraying my other friend now that I know how much she likes

Dawn did nothing wrong. Dawn wanted to help. Dawn can not predict what people will feel or say.

I don't know. I just feel like I shouldn't have gotten involved at all. Who likes who isn't really any of my business. I mean, it's true that I was just trying to help, but I think I might have caused more problems than I was trying to solve.

Dawn cannot help being Dawn... and Dawn is a good and kind girl. It would not be Dawn to not try and help friends.

Even if I end up hurting someone's feelings because of it?
