Hi. I am Jenny, an old friend, but I do have a book rec for you. Actually it is more of a series of books. From the books that you have said that you read I think you would like the Drizzt Do'Urden books by R.A. Salvatore. That link will take you to amazon.com and the list of books in the series in the order that they should be read. I can tell you that I have read a good chunk of them and I loved them.
OMG ARE YOU SHITTING ME? I'M ACTUALLY READING THOSE RIGHT NOW! Like, I was JUST going downstairs to continue it! I'm on page 100 of the first one, Homeland - I bought the collectors edition with the first three. So far it is AH-MAZING. RA Salvatore, like Tolkien, also a genius.
LOL Right! RA Salvatore is freaking AWESOME!!!! Drizzt Do'Urden is like one of my favorite literary characters ever! The Dark Elf society is so fucked up, but I wont say much if you have only just started it. I started with the Dark Elf trilogy as well. I got it for my hubby for our first Christmas together.
I think it's so weird that their society is a matriarchy - so different from us! Whenever they're all like "Well you're a man so your opinion means nothing" I'm all :o So weiirrrddd.
I'm currently looking to get three other omnibuses too that I found on Ebay for pretty cheap. :D
For the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang graphic, I love you forever
My name is Lucy and I love the Harry Potter series. Some second favorites are LOTR, The Odyssey, uuhhh I've just started the Percy Jackson series and I'm enjoying that...
Thanks for reposting the links, I totally missed your last post (I'm such a bad f-list follower xD). Aaaaaaanyways. My name is Martha and my favourite book is TLOFTR<3 I watched the first movie with my dad when I was 9 and I've been in love with it since then. At that time I didn't really know what a fandom is, but if having a notebook where I kept all the articles about the movies ad wrote my first attempts of fanfictions counts...well then probably TLOFTR was my first fandom xD
Have you red the Bitterbynde trilogy? It's by Cecilia Dart-Thorntone. I loved it. And what about Jacqueline Carey's "Kushiel's Dart" trilogy? That's one you really can't miss! It's set in a world that's geographically ours and with countries that are similar to the current ones, but the cultures are from different times, like Renaissance "France" and "Italy" or barbarian "England" and "Germany". The plot is like a mindfuck game, things that you don't expect keep happening and they apparently don't make sense until the end.
