Okay, I'm trying to remember everything I wanted to say.

(1) Jack's craaaaazy beard. Oh man. It was all greasy and rapist-ish. Poor Jack.

(2) But the quote is so cool. I wish people would challenge me with badass quotes. Instead I find the quotes and can't... challenge myself with them. Boo.

(3) Francie totally would cheer Syd on super loudly. And Syd would blush, and Francie would be a once-person pep rally, and it would rock. Oh, Francie.

(4) Duh, Syd's bitter about Lauren. Hello.

(5) 18 really is the best one. Because Daddy loves her AND shows up. Yaaaay. Bet he disappeared before the end, too, and Syd didn't even really care too much. Even though she had to go to dinner with the Calfos and have them take pictures of her and not her own dad. But whateverrrr!

(6) Oh, Julia. She forgot the whole Craaaazy Jack Bristow love and what it drives him too.

(1) LOL, I remember reading something somewhere that compared his hair to Hannibal.

(2) I think your definition of "badass quote" and mine differ. Also, I don't seem to find cool quotes places the way you do. Actually, that's not true, I'm always like, That's such a cool quote, but by the time I remember to write it down, I forget what it was. There was this great one in Night Watch that I'd have challenged you with.

(3)<3 Francie. For real. I missed her so much after she died. She wouldn't have let Syd whine all the time in S3. :-p

(4) She's so, like, snide, though.

(5) Oh, well, yeah. Syd doesn't hold unrealistic expectations. There might be a congratulatory card on the table when she gets home. :-p

(6) She probably didn't really UNDERSTAND the love until she was Julia and saw what it did to him. :-p

(1) And that quote was from the transcript I've been reading. Mmhmm.

(2) Nyah.

(3) I miss Francie more in retrospect. But you're right about the whining. She would've been like, okay, you've cried enough, let's go have margaritas and meet cute guys!

(4) Well, yes. Bitter. I fully believe she has every right to be that bitter.

(5) With a big ole check inside.

(6) She STILL doesn't understand the scope of his love, because it's crazy! Crazy big!

I'm totally using -8- as my divider in some fic one day. I swear. :P

I liked the repetition of "Underneath it all, your father loves you" for each little snippit. I'm a big fan of that sort of thing, and it worked really well for this. :)

Beautiful fic! Poor Sydear.

Hee about the divider! It looks like infinity on a stick.

I was kind of going for a Five Things sort of feel, except there were only three things. :-p I was pleased with how it kind of integrated into the fic, like Syd was commenting on the intro quote in each section.

My friend has a tattoo of infinity on her leg (it's black and about the size of... um, I can't say quarter, because you're from Canada... but, like, the size of an LJ icon, maybe!) and it looks too much like a figure 8 to me. Plus, one time I was about to be like, "Vanessa, there's some dirt on your leg!" but then I realized--nope, that's her tattoo. In short, dumb tattoo. :P

Awww, you were pleased! That's so precious of you to say, hee. I liked how it felt that way, too! You did an awesome job. ;)

LOL, American quarters are the size of an LJ icon? Holy crap. :-p My bio teacher in high school was a botanist and had a tattoo of some kind of water plant on her ankle.
