To quote Harry "it's just the wind" (the fact I'm indoors is neither here nor there, yeah, 'cos I'm not crying, obviously!)
That is absolutely gorgeous - I love the choices of caps, and the juxtaposition of the blue lit ones with the line about being painted in blue...
And the kiss!! (We need more Ruth/Harry kisses. It's NOT fair of them to tease us with just one!) And the bus exchange - I recently picked that as one of my top 5 Spooks moments (together with the kiss) for a meme I did because I loved it so much...
And now I'm going to listen to the song.
Thanks so much for sharing! (Oh, should say, I'm here via spooky_doings!)
(We need more Ruth/Harry kisses. It's NOT fair of them to tease us with just one!) One of recurring themes when I have conversations with antiqueskies about Ruth and Harry is... "GET YOU SHIT TOGETHER KIDS".
Perfect. The caps, the colouring, the quotes, the lyrics. For some reason Ruth's "Under gentle wings. - Harry, Harry all men are brothers. That's why we shed tears for people we don't know." and Harry's "It's just the wind, Ruth." get my every time. "You're a born spook, Ruth." is one of my favourite moments, too. Oh who am I kidding, all of these scenes are.
What throws me about that "all men are brothers" thing is always the bit of unexpected badly pronounced German there... but that scene is really beautiful.
The "You're a born spook, Ruth." is my faaaaavorite thing ever as you might have gathered when I changed my profile. I JUST LOVE THEM SFM.
Oh no! I don't speak German so I had no idea, but I know from being a French speaker that bad pronunciation is so irritating. But yes, the scene is so well written. It's so Spooks.
It's mine, too. It's just the entire composition of the scene, from their acting and body language to the lighting and the shots they chose to use... Gah. Gets me every time. I think that must be the most reblogged scene on my Tumblr. I can't wait for S9 - I think we'll get more H/R goodness.
I can't wait for S9 - I think we'll get more H/R goodness. Oh there better be. I hope they announce an air date soon. I hope it's not on Fridays that would blow. I'll be on a plane on the 24th September for pretty much most of the day. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE MORE.
Oh. *sighs* This pair just killed me. I have to confess I stopped watching Spooks after Ruth left, and I did watch the eps when she came back, but it was just too much effort to pick up all the threads. But I miss the days when I adored this show.
Aww. You should try to watch the rest. Series six is really made out of fail (but it's pretty. Just don't look for the plot). Series seven was a lot better and I oddly enjoyed the 8th one quite a lot more so when I re-watched it. BESIDES ROS MYERS IS SO BADASS. Only reason I could deal while Ruth was gone.
