Nightmare Ch. 15

Anton hooked the chain around his neck. He shuddered at wearing the thing once again, seeing it as it rested against his bare chest. The medallion didn’t look like anything special, just a gold medallion on a thick gold chain. It stood out more on his fair skin than silver probably would have, but he hadn’t been the one to create it, so the choice ( Read more... )

Okay that was intense,Anton de Havilland's back story was needed. I see why you feel the way you do for him. It is sad that his life was so bad , it almost if someone were to look at how Ed's life could have gone if Roy hadn't intervened.

Gluttony that was just jaw dropping.

Thanks. Told you he had a backstory that would make you pity him. I wanted some parallels to Ed's own story.
I wondered if anyone would figure it out with Gluttony.

It was pretty obvious that Gregor was Gluttony. Anton's back story does not make me pity him tho. He is a survivor (of his mother's abuse) who made a really bad decision (to resurrect his brother). It was nothing short of a miracle that the same thing didn't happen to Al! I no more pity him than I do Ed. They both have horrible pasts and I deeply sympathize with them for it but I would not and do not offer either of them pity. I don't think either would appreciate it. I'm glad that it looks like Ed and Al will have their charges dismissed! I dread Ed having to testify to save Roy. It will be horrible but the monstrous beast's crimes need to be known.

Well, sympathy works too. Ed will have a rough time if he has to testify, that's for sure.
Thanks for reading.

I feel the need for a dun dun dunnnnnn to be at the end there....blame sleep deprivation.

there's a flub up there in the part where he finds his brother and tries to save him, says her instead of his. thats the only one I think.

and I adore the Mustang the prancing pony bit, made me snort and giggle.

Yay for three-dimensional antagonists. Still, I don't have too much sympathy for de Havilland, he still became - what he became. Whatever compassion he might have had seems to be buried or lost, and it doesn't seem like he misses it too much.

Mustang the prancing pony :].

I feel for him mostly because Ed's story could have been his had Dante found him first.

I couldn't resist it. I did the show pony thing, and then my mind made the crack about Mustang the pony... so I left it and added that Roy's mind went where mine did.
