Hmm, if you mean the PV... I actually kind of expected them to do this type sooner or later. I find JE kind of weird that way. So though like you I don't really appreciate this one, I think they've done risky stuff before, it's just that now it's taken center stage as a single and a PV. The only thing that made me D: was Yamapi's hair, to be honest. XD

well I expected it too. The problem with NewS is that they don't have any image, anything unique for them.. I feel their manager is trying desperately to find what suits them, by changing their style of music like every single *_* If NewS wants the cool image, then let the boys stay kakoii till the end, & not allow them to make weird faces to the camera! *face palm* even their dance don't synchronize ,omg
In my opinion, as much as the bands from JE talk about image all the time, I don't find that any of them have a real one. I mean, KAT-TUN is supposed to be the cool, gangster-esque, tough guys with exaggerated clothes and accessories, but they still do moody christmas songs. I think idols in general end up doing a whole variety of stuff with some vague idea of an image that still ends up being flexible, so that the fans can take it as they like.
You're right though; it's more obvious with NewS, and though I totally laughed at the PV it's not like I was very impressed. NewS is like a schizo band; the singles are all over the place.
The brothers are so handsome and maki is ♥ Is that Eita's brother I see in the character chart? It looks like him... I want to ride the air ship thingy! Looks like fun ^^
i agree - news new music video is sort of risque... for news!! i mean, their old PV's were so innocent [i.e. Happy Birthday, Weeeek, even Taiyou no namida!]. When I first saw the clip of Koi no ABO i was literally like, "WTH! O_O. Massu dancing with a girl?! Yamap's new hair?! (sorry but honestly... eeek.. i like the old dark, straight haired yamap... still he's hot though!), ryo at a bar with a girl?.. is that right? shige with his arm around a couple girls on a couch, and koyama watching a girl walk by??) maybe I'm just not letting them grow up but i donno... for some reason i just think this PV went a little too far... too quickly! news have never had a PV like this before and for one to suddenly come up was kinda shocking

i think why NEWS doesn't have a real 'image' is that they have a lot of side projects where they are better known in... (if that makes sense). For example, Yamapi and Ryo are known for their dramas .... it just seems that they have a lot of individual projects, which is fine! but they need to work on projects as a group and they need to be putting out more videos and singles and trying to build more of a stronger image. But, I still think the boys are working VERY hard :D
