I felt like I was drawn into Oerba itself :) love how this story is told from Vanille's POV and yet it didn't fail to give depth to Fang's character. The little things like Oerba's daily life and hunter initiation really draw me into the story. I'm interested in what you said in previous posts that Fang somewhat harbor survivor guilt in her. That was very well thought and hope you'll explore it more in future chapters (assuming this is not a one-shot). The impending doom was well crafted. There's really not enough story told about Fang and Vanille's time in Gran Pulse, so glad you decide to write one. Look forward for more!

Hi, thanks for commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I myself am quite fascinated by how these two came to be l'Cie, and of course how their bond became the strength we saw in the game. I had intended this to be a one-shot, because I imagined next part as the last story from the Light Novel "promise", and then sunbreaksdown's the river runs dry (http://sunbreaksdown.livejournal.com/9888.html) to be after.

But of course there's still plenty to write!
