(not sure there's actually much readership for de-aging fic that involves neither wacky hijinks nor angsty fluffy woobie snuggling, but still) The movie!Avengers fic that fit that description seems to get enough attention and compliments.
Of course, it's a movie!Avengers fic, though...
a Doom/Wanda backstory for Avengers: Children's Crusade yesssssss.
and that epic genderswap story about a female Reed Richards that I mentioned a few years back. Intriguing.

Yeah, it seems like there are only about six people reading Fantastic Four fic as it is, so narrowing the audience further may be a bit chancey. Not that I've ever let lack of audience interest stop me before!
I've been meaning to write a Doom/Wanda fic since halfway through Children's Crusade, but all the twists and turns and the long wait for the conclusion kind of threw me off stride by the end. The main problem is that I'd be tempted to start way back at the time of House of M, and that would involve getting into Doom's dodgy characterisation in Unthinkable, and would it end up turning into a whole indulgent epic novel. (Which I wouldn't mind, if only I had time to write the thing.)
Intriguing. The idea of a gender-swapped Reed fascinates me because of all the ways it mixes up the character dynamics. The whole nature of the rivalry with Doom would be pretty different, I think,
( ... )
OTOH, the people who read F4 fics are probably desperate enough for any F4 fics that they are not so picky about popular tropes in the content ;)
Doom/Wanda is a very intriguing ship - not sure if I'd ship it under the traditional or even my personal definition of the term; but I'd love seeing what makes them tick as a couple, so i'd very much look forward to it. But, oh eeeeep, I heard a bit about Unthinkable, that sounds tricky to deal with.
Wow, you're pretty convincing about gender-swapped Reed being a fascinating set up.
I would love to read these ~4vengers stories if you write them! I really enjoyed your Reed/Victor college fics (and was very disappointed to find out that the fandom is so small, esp. compared to the MCU fandom)
Yes, it is sadly tiny. :( I'm trying to do my bit to write as much Doctor Doom fic as possible: I'm definitely going to request and offer it for the ( yuletide )
