Cybertron, Rattrap had decided, Really needed roadmaps fer these tunnels.
Or they at least needed roadmaps for the ventilation systems he found himself crawling through. One wrong turn outside after his escape from Godzilla VS Ultramech encounter had him deep inside an unfamiliar building, probably torn down from the Great War long before his time.

Screeching metal had him frozen in the vent duct, alt-mode's fur prickling as an overwhelming sense of dread filled his sensors. Just his luck; probably stumbled into some Primus slagged Decepticon-ridden bunker, and they were all just downstairs waitin' for him to fall through for a round of Pin the Backstruct on the Turbofox. His only solace came from a familiar string of curses ( ... )

Sitting at the gate, Kup removed the cygar dangling from his lips, optics focused on the cylinder, but processes elsewhere. Despite being convinced otherwise, the old mech almost felt as if he were being watched. His optics dimmed as hee let the cygar fall from his digits, rolling away on the ground.

Almost.

The sudden clank and rolling of the mystery mech's strange... tube thing what IS that? nearly sent Rattrap's binoculars sailing into the floor beneath him. One quick slight-of-the-hand returned them safely to his possession, however the Primus slagging noise he created made Rattrap think he might as well just chunked the damned things at his head.

It would have created the same "staying hidden" effect, anyway.

He cursed under his aircycle and scooted backwards into the dark vent as quickly and as far as he could without losing sight of his target.

"I am so gonna die"

He didn't know how long he'd been lying there...seemed like only a few moments and an eternity at the same time.

Everything hurt.

Topspin struggled to reign in protesting and spinning systems. He rerouted power to his optical relays and forced his optics to light. His vision swam with static.

He was face down on the ground. And he was outside....it...it looked...like a parade ground?

Another errant spike of pain lanced through his systems, forcing a soft gasp from the Wrecker. Something was wrong. Part of him felt nothing. The other was on fire with pain. Where were the others? What happened? If he was out in the open he needed to find shelter.

He pushed himself up on shakey arms in attempt to get himself to his pedes. Gyroscopes spun and joints locked and Topspin swayed to the side, hitting the ground and ending up on his back.

Pain travelled down his struts from where he hit the ground and flooded his sensory net. It was too much...it was all too much.

He screamed.

The loud noise coming from the other side of the complex startled the old mech, who was on his feet and against the gate with his rifle out before he could begin to process about it; survival instincts functioning even when he couldn't. While part of Kup felt some sort of relief that he wasn't alone here in the Pit, noises (was it a scream? did he hear that right?) of that type were never good ( ... )

There was...someone else here. Topspin could vaguely feel digits poking at him, could barely see movement through all the static. It felt like he'd been wrapped in insulation. Everything felt so...far away.

He hoped to Primus this wasn't an enemy. He was in no condition to defend himself. The Jumpstarter desperately willed his systems to calm the frag down. He needed to get out of here.

He was rewarded with a stab of pain through his chest that spread throughout his frame, seizing his joints and leaving him panting for air to cool overheated components.

The other mech was still now....and closer. He was...calling him?

Lad...? Only one mech...

"K-...Ku-up-..?"

"That's right." Kup muttered, optics and what limited scanners he possessed still inspecting the jet for injury and getting more frustrated by the click that everything was coming up negative. Kup had never been good at medical services, preferring breaking things rather than patching them up. Maybe it was just the pain from death? The old mech was aching when he woke up here, but nowhere this severe. "Just take it easy an' be still. Need to tell me what's goin' on 'spin so I can help ya. Or try to."
