Slag was content with his little kingdom he was establishing--er, claiming. So far he had somehow managed to not run into anyone, too absorbed in the fact that Grimlock and the other Dinobots were nowhere to be seen. It was that small fact that made him the happiest tricerabot around...until he got a transmission.

The dinobot startled as a voice rang through his comm, a loud growl bubbling in his vocal processor as he stomped hard at the ground, sending a few glitchmice scattering.

"Opty-moose," he snarled, tossing his head as he accessed his scanners and sought out the location of the other. "No stay here! Not allowed!" Slag immediately set off to find the intruder, completely unaware of that fact that, had he been paying attention and not getting angry, he would have found that the spark signature attached to Optimus was not familiar really.

But, it really didn't matter. They had said 'Optimus' and there was no stopping the tricerabot now.

The first thing that popped up in his processor when he saw a dinosaur charging towards him essentially boiled down to 'what the slag is triceratops doing on Cybertron!?' But since it was unPrimely to curse in such a fashion..

Why was there a triceratops charging him? Certainly, it wasn't just ambling up to him to greet him good day, not at that speed...

A decidedly unhappy but somewhat muffled noise later, and the Prime had shifted into his ready position. Ramming Megatron and flipping him onto his side was easy enough to do, but even Optimus couldn't find it in himself to be optimistic about this outcome. What had he done to provoke this being, and on top of that, were they even sentient? This place was trying to make him glitch hard enough to make him think he was the leader of the Decepticons!

Best to try the comm again, and see if this tricera-bot (?) would respond to that.

Finally something seemed to register in that tiny brain of Slag's, something that told him this wasn't the Optimus he was use to terrorizing and he hit the brakes, so to speak. The tricerabot screeched to a halt, his fore-legs moving rapidly to slow himself down as he pushed most of his weight backwards, Slag sliding sideways a bit before he finally stopped. Flames licked at his nostrils as he let out a loud snort, tossing his head some as he righted his position and eyed the Optimus wanna-be.

"Who you?" he growled, tail slamming against the ground in irritation as he lowered his head, horns glowing faintly. "You not Opty-moose! Who you? Why you use Opty-moose name?"

Rattrap was starting to think he couldn't have picked a worse place to pop out. Of all the little pathways to take, he managed to find the one with the giant ... truck thing and a slagging dinosaur. He always hated dinosaurs.

'But jeez', he thought to himself, 'They sure been growin'm big back home ain't they?' Last time he was on Cybertron, they were in an energon shortage and downsizing bodies for preservation.
