Movies sound fun!

Where do they get the fireworks, if they are illegal to buy? And does the Republic have a fireworks festival like Bonfire Night over here?

I do think the Americans are onto something having their firework party at the start of July, instead of five days into Winter! :)

Those movies were fab!

The kids buy them from illegal Chinese firework shops and out of car parks etc. Same as in the UK really. We had a pair of guards chasing some kids up our street the other day to catch them before they blew someone up. Idiots.

Bonfire Night doesn't get celebrated here, as the story revolves around a Catholic attempting to blow up the British houses of parliament (which would be generally applauded) before being burned at the stake (not so popular.) So, the fireworks get let off at Halloween instead. You also get the New Year ones as well, plus St. Patrick's Day in some areas.
