Oh my lord, this is amazing. This is like no other Bane/Talia I've ever read. Can I just say that I love how you write? You've got a beautiful way with words. Everything here is brilliant, but this has to be my favorite line:

"He was unmade; he was reborn; he leapt and he fell, he plunged into the depths, he snapped to the end of his tethering line and discovered himself lying, a free man, on the glorious stark concrete earth beyond the lip of the pit, and Talia had been his rope all along."

Sigh. I love you.

Thank you! I don't know what it is, but this pairing has just grabbed my brain and won't let go, so I'm pretty sure we'll see a lot more Bane/Talia (and lord only knows what else, kink memes are bad for my productivity).

I loved all of this. I'm not used to seeing fics where Bane is angry & hateful after Talia rescues him from the pit: he's always just happy to be reunited. It was nice to see a different POV. Also: hot, very hot.

This story sounds more realistic than a happy reunion would. It's understandable how Bane's feeling towards Talia may be ambivalent. After all, he ~was~ left to suffer ans possibly die for a long period.

It was formidable how you wrote his increasing hate even though he never stopped loving her. Your portrait of his resent was impeccable.

You became to me one of those few authors that would make me read ~anything~ as long as it was you writing it.

Oh my gosh, you flatter me! Don't worry, I don't think I'm going to burn out on this fandom anytime soon... I might go dormant for a while, due to an impending move, but whenever I don't write for a while my brain EXPLODES.
