Yayay, you liked it! I was a bit nervous about the group dynamic, as this was my maiden voyage into the Maruaders, so I'm glad that it all worked out well. *grins* Everything is better with debauched nuns, that's my motto. Yay for your favorite line! It was one of mine too. :)
Logically, Peter would have to have been part of the group, but since everyone seems more pissed off that he got James and Lily killed rather than the loss of his companionship, I decided that he must have been somewhat of the outsider even when he was part of the crew. And I love the idea of him becoming Harry's Gollum- that would certainly justify why he's still around.
I'm very glad you liked it!! Thanks for requesting something interesting to delve into! :)
A Marauders virgin, eh? ;) Well, I'd never have guessed.
Mmm...debauched nuns. So intriguing yet so hard to find...
I like the idea that even when he was pat of their group he felt an outsider. It kind of makes you wonder how they became friends in the first place; in canon, they seem an odd quartet.
I seem to recall JKR (via Dumbledore) saying that letting Wormtail go gave Harry some sort of power over him - end of PoA, I think, and the way it was phrased reminded me of Tolkien saying much the same about Gollum. I mean, probably Harry will come out of it with all his fingers intact, but I have to wonder if not, what part Pettigrew will play.
