I think the effectiveness of Misaki as a mitigant for Hei being a creeper is diminished by the kissing ninja contractor calling her "sexually frigid." Not that I disagree with your assessment.
As a fangirl, Misaki was always that character that I wish they'd just replace since her entertainment value is na da. As a pretend fanboy, I can almost see her value. Did we see her in her non-cop (hair down/no glasses) mode last season? My memories of what she did last season are fuzzy. :)
Well, there's a lot of fanservice of her in the manga--fully clothed, but her boobs are definitely a lot bigger than in the anime.
I don't know, I like her as a character, because she seems to be a pretty accurate representation of a career woman with convictions and inconvenient emotions. It's struck me recently how full of (strong) women DTB is, and I wouldn't want her to be different, or a man.
