Title: Never Be Free Author: Noirreigne Pairing: Blair/Chuck & Blair/OC Rating: R for language and smut. Spoilers: Through 2x17 Summary: Except you enthrall me, never shall be free. Future Fic.
Love! I'm a big believer in smut instead of a fade-to-black treatment, simply because it's a chance to really show how two characters feel about one another. You did it very well here, I could feel what they felt, both the pain and the pleasure. Great job.
Only crit I would have is that the bit where she's talking to a man at the end is kind of puzzling. Is she talking to the driver or someone else (her husband)?
Sorry about the confusion. :D I think I need to re-work that bit or delete it completely. It is supposed to be a conversation with her husband. A foreshadowing of what is to come. I would go into more depth, but I don't want to give more away. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I hope you will give the story another chance and read the next chapter when it is posted.
I hadn't realized it before, but it was a bit ambiguous. I need to fix that a bit or remove it entirely. I had it in there to set up as foreshadowing of a plot twist and to contrast the difference between B/C and Blair's marriage. I think it might fail at both. LOL Sometimes things don't always fit the way you want them too. BTW it is her husband.
Thanks so much for the review and the crit. It is always helpful. :D I very much enjoy reading graphic scenes, but writing them them is difficult. This is the first one and since I enjoyed the Ed/Leigton one you did it pleases me a ton that you think I did a decent job. Thank you.
It is not the end. There are more chapters coming. I'm re-editing chapter three and my beta has chapter four. I hope you stick around to read the rest of the story. :D
The title is a line from John Donne's Holy Sonnet XIV. I quote the section it is from in the first chapter. The Garbage song could easily reference this since it is pretty famous.
HOLY SONNET XIV.
Batter my heart, three-person'd God ; for you As yet but knock ; breathe, shine, and seek to mend ; That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow me, and bend Your force, to break, blow, burn, and make me new. I, like an usurp'd town, to another due, Labour to admit you, but O, to no end. Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend, But is captived, and proves weak or untrue. Yet dearly I love you, and would be loved fain, But am betroth'd unto your enemy ; Divorce me, untie, or break that knot again, Take me to you, imprison me, for I, Except you enthrall me, never shall be free, Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.
