It's not as thrilling or provocative as some of Meisel's best work, but I think this is some of the most articulate stuff he's done in awhile. There's a really a sense of mood and ambience here--old-school couture, beauty-as-a-business, seventies-era YSL. The casting, might I add, is superb.
