What i am gonna say is :
I am save today ..... !!!!!
because of that book? noo,
but i am so glad i am free, .... today is The Ied Day, a winning far for us as a moslem after 30 days fasty in Ramadhan. and as told you before how much i don't like Ied, ... so what i did today is nothing but eat a lot and lock my self in my room while sleeping and finish one book, that book One Amazing Thing by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, i am gonna tell you later about this book and what i get from the book, ... see me always pull something from whar i read and watch or something happen surround me, i think there must me a thing inside every little things you watch, read, ....
I wake up at 05:00 preparing my self go to mosque to have my Ied pray, and me and Tekki went there at 06:00 OMG i think there's a difference in this year Ied, see as i remember last year i came to mosque at 06:00 and i still wait little longer before start to pray, but today when we arrived there, mosque is already full and we can't pray inside the moque so we did that outside mosque with many other people using newspaper to keep the dust from our sajadah.
After that i went home and i am hungry but i have to wait because my mom is still give my dad his breakfast, and then she start the tradition. She asked apologies to my dad while kiss his hand and then they both hug each other, that moment only happen once in a year, ony on Ied day ...
She called us and i did the same thing i asked my dad apologies for everything i did this year, and kiss his hands, but somehow i didn't feel something about this, maybe i did that not using all my heart, but when i went to our kitchen and did the same to my mom, somehow i wanna cry when my mom hugged me and said how sorry she is for everything she did this year, she said she is already old and old woman tend to make many mistake that she didn't realize, .... Ah she is cry again, seeing my mom crying is the first thing i hate in my live, i don't wanna hear/see her cryin, even sometimes she cried because of me ....
and she keep crying everytime there's our relatives or neigbors come to our home to say Ied Mubarak , ... OMG why did she keep cryin? ,,, ah ya she is still my drama queen mommy, she did cry for many things. that's my mom, i keep call her as the drama queen because she is, .... but that drama queen is the number one perrson that i love in this world, and then Tekki , ...
My mom who did anything for, me always be my side, she is the one who stay awake with me until 2:00 when i study for my exam, and she also always behind me everytime my dad mad at me or Tekki, even in the end my dad is gonna blame her for everything i did, he is gonna say if i did something wrong that's because her mistake for educate us, ...
Then what the hell is he did all this time? all i remember is he just mad mad and keep tellin how stupid i am, i feel so weird ne when i see how good and kind is my dad to other people's child like my neighbors and our relatives but not with his own child, ... when i was a little i keep thingking about that, even until now i feel so envy when i saw some girls going to cinema and watch their fave movies with their dad, ... i wish i have that kind a moment with my dad, .... but that's never happen in my live, because my relationship with my dad is gonna still the same , there's a big wall as big as The Great Wall between my dad and his child, but that's find because i have my mom, my Drama Queen Mom ...
Why i said i am save today? that's because i don't have to go to his (read : not yasu) house, my mom and Tekki is the one who went there ...... hufff .... i am so scare what if my mom ask me to go there with me, OMG what am i gonna do? ... but when they come back my mom said that he only went home alone, his wife didn't join him ..... OMG i should go with my mom if i know he is going home alone ..... ahahahahaha , no, just kidding ... kyaaaa .... *dumped to alien cage*
i spent the afternoon with my mom on our kitchen dinner table drinking 2 liter Fanta Red, my mom hide about 12 bottles of Red Fanta from my dad because i dunno why he just got mad when he found out she bought that for Ied, ... why? .... ah he is just mad and said many thing that doesn't make sense for us, so here we are spent this first Ied afternoon by drinking Red Fanta and laugh in silence like a fool, ...
And what happen that afternoon is remind me of one scene on My Fave novel : A thousand Splendid Suns by Khaleed Hosseini, he is the author of The Kite Runner , .... A Thousand Splendid Suns is a story about a woman named Mariam, she lived in Afghanistand in the Thaliban era she only able to read and write in Arabic, her live and her marriage with her abuse husband Rasyid, her husband second wife Laila, and their children. Somehow Mariam doesn't hate Laila for marry to her husband she even find an aliance with her in their household with Rasyeed.
I read this book over and over even i can make all my office mate read this book, yes, we have a little book club @office, and after al of us read this book we all wondering how is the way to kill Rasyeed without end with the Mullah know and Mariam end died, ... and i call one of my friend Wachidah with Wachidah Jo and she is gonna call me Noi Jo while have cup of black coffee pretending all of us in Afghanistan, Jo is a loving call for a girl/woman in Afghanistan and for man/boys they gonna end it with Jan. so it's kind a chan or kun in Japanese

when me and my mom drink Red Fanta secretly in the kitchen , it just like when Mariam, Laila and their children watching TITANIC secretly from the Mullah and from their husband/father Rasyeed, .... in this case my mom is Mariam Jo and i am Laila's Jo's daughter who love Mariam like she is her own mother, and Laila Jo in this case is my real mother who i never know and i think i never wanna know, ....
somehow i am glad than she leave my dad, and leave us to my mom, so she can be free from my dad, and my mom i think she is too stupid or love my dad so much then keep stay beside him untill now even many times she cried because of him, btw if she is not stupid then who is gonna take after and love me? ... ahahaha ..... *dumped to hell*
One similar thing about my mom and Mariam Jo is they both only have their God for them , so if everything happen my mom is gonna pray, ask for help/forgiveness from God. She said once to me why did she never leave my dad, she said she did that for us, .... then me with cluess said to her : mom you should leave him and find me a new rich daddy .... ahaha that's stupid ne? i should've not say that but ...

When i was child i always think and hope if my dad is not my real dad and keep waiting one day my real dad is gonna come to pick me like one of Shirley Temple movie, ... but then God just punish me whith a very hurt fact that if he is my dad, and i look just like him and my mom that i love so much is the one who's not my real mom, ... after i know that fact i just say yes to everything she asked me to, ... see this is what you feel when you found out if your are adopted or have non biological parent, you gonna do anything to make her proud, nah that's what i am try to do now, i wanna make my mom proud of me, because i know she love me even she didn't carry me 9 months and 10 days on his balley but i believe she carry me on her heart untill now ...
OMG i talked too much , ... okay back to my book , the book that i finished today is : One Amazing Thing by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. She is my fave author, if you read her booh like Sister of My Heart or The Mistress of Spices you're gonna love her. ...
This book is about 9 poeples who got trapped in India embassy when earthquake happen, and then while waiting for help come, all of them start to tell something about them and what take them to India embassy, what make them wanna go to India, .... and all of them told their story with their One Amazing Thing, ...
~ Jiang
Jiang is a Chinese, old lady, she went to the embassy with her grandaughter Lily to ger her Visa. she wanted to visit India, Calcutta exactly because of her memories. On her story, she said she used to live in a secret place in Calcutta. She is a Chinese who born in India and only know India as her homeland. Her father own a famous shoes store there and when she is 23 she run their famyly store and then she meet Mohit.
Mohit is a Hindustan, and they both in love each other when Mohit come to Jiang's shoe shop to buy his sister a shoes, but both of their family refuse their love and say no when they say they wanna marry. Jiang's father just say no. He can imagine for have a Hindustan man as son in law in his family, and even her grandmother thread her if she married to Mohit she is gonna leave her back to China.
and Mohit father also say no, a very big no because for him having a son who is in love to a Chinese girl (not a Bengali) just make him mad , his mom just sick because of that. but both of Jiang and Mohit don't bother about what their parents say and they make a plan to run away together.
Both of Jiang's grandmother and Mohit's mom pray to their own God , they ask for nothing but Mohit and Jiang stay away each other, and maybe God is listening to them, before they run and three days after their pray that time is 1962 Chinese Army attacked an India patrol in Aksai Chin region west part of Himalaya. The Chinese Army move to south through McMahon Line (it's a border line between India and China based on agreement signed on 1914). The rumors is everywhere about a war is gonna happen, Mao is gonna bom Calcutta and everybody is panicked.
People start to stop buy from China's store and all Chinese in Calcutta were asked to go out from India by the government. But Jiang who is totally in love with Mohit stil calling Mohit at his office and one day Mohit ask her to stop calling him and said : I am sorry, i love you but i can not fight the whole country.
and that's broke her heart even he didn't tell her father about this, .... and when her dad arrange her marriage to a man, who can take her out from India, she just say yes. Her new husband is very kind to her, he didn't force her because he knew is she is still love another man, .... but it's weird when love come in without our knowledge, ... so yes, as time goes by Jiang start to love her husband,
it started when he got sick. and Jiang who is so affraid just hold his hand while saying : please don't die, I love you. and then the next morning her husband is okay. She didn't know when did that happen, when did she start to love her husband. People said whatever happen to us change us, but love infiltrate such as chisels and suddenly becomes an ax to break us into pieces from inside
after that she decide to foget her memories of Calcutta and start to speak Mandarin and act like she can't speak English in front of her grandaughter. and now she is here in India emabassy because she think this is the perfect time for her to go back to India, to see her home and her memories again before she died.
~ Lancelot and Vivienne Prichett
Mr. and Mrs. Prichett is going to India for vacation, they wanna visit Taj Mahal and they wanna try a new hotel there, like what the advertisement said if today is a trend in India where an old palace turn in to a hotel so the guess is gonna feel like a maharaj and maharani there.
But Mr. Prichett. also have something in his live, his One Amazing Thing, it is his mother. For Little Lancelot, his mother is his Sleeping Beauty, he is gonna keep looking at her just to make sure if she is still breating and live, he is so affraid what if she just stop breathing and what is gonna happen to him.
even his mother is not agood mother like his other friend have, but for him his mother is the best , he love when his mother gonna read him a story, the same story : King Arthur and The Round Table Knights and she gave hima Lancelot for his name because she really love Lancelote on that story.
about Lancelot, i remember this movie The First Knight , a love triangle story between King Arthur, Guinevre aand one of his Round Table knight Lancelot, ... Guinevre who sent to Camelot to be King Arthur wife meet Lancelot on his way to Camelot and they just fall in Love each other. and when they meet again in Camelot as The King 's wife and noble knight, they try to let their love go, because Arthur is a nobel man, and they both love and respect him so much so they decide tu burn their love , but too bad King Arthur already know about what happen between them ....
awww i hate this movie ending why did they (Guinevre and Lancelot) do that to their King (Sean Conery) and they just got in the love triangle because eventually Arthur also love his wife so much as much he love and trust Lancelot as his number one kight in Camelot . and it's funny when both Guinevre and Lancelot hope if they never meet before. ....
Back to Lancelot Prichett, ... what he did watching his mom breathing , i also did that, .... i feel the same thing when i was little, keep watching her breathing in her sleep and how affraid i am if she is gonna stop breath, i dunno what is happen with me if i don't have my mom,
but for Mrs. Prichett is different, her One Amazing Thing is a love that she never had from his husband, for all this time she always think she has everything a big house, wealthy live even they have no children, but she just realize among all of that she feel empty, what she want is his husband true love and when she think he is not gonna give that to her, she ask her husband to India for vacation but her main plan is she is gonna leave him there and go everywhere she want to to a place where nobody know her and start a new life . and there you are they both in India embassy now ...
~ Tariq
Tariq is an India American born, even he is muslim but he always live with American style, but everything is different when his mother's friend daughter come to stay in their home for a year because she got a scholarship here in USA from his college in Delhi, .... her name is Farah. She is Tariq One Amazing Thing
Because of Farah, Tariq start to change his live, he wanna be a muslim, a good muslim, hge start to pray again, read Qur'an and having his beard long, and because of that everybody look at him differently (that's after what happen on 9/11) and then his father was interogated by FBI or something else. after home his father change to be a different perdon and got sick.
cannot stand for what happen his mother decide to sell their home and bussines and go back home to India, and start a new family there with Farah's mother help so Tariq is gonna be in India to make sure everything is okay before his mother and father move there. and there you are he is in India embassy today .
~ Malathi
Malathi is the India embassy officer, she is from Pakistan, she came to America for working, before that she is a daughter of a quite wealthy man in Pakistan but not rich, because she failed two times in her first grade in highschool, his dan think it would be better to find her a husband than spend a lot of money to pay her shool.
So her mother take her to a salon named The Lovely Ladies, the owner name is Lolato have her bride photo to give to the matchmaker so she is gonna get a nice husband wbut with negotiable price for mahar. But then after get a treatment in Lola's salon Malathi found herself interest in this things and decide to work there, and there you are she is Lola's girl now, and she really enjoyed her job and Lola is so kind to her.
thare one consumen in Lola's salon named Mrs. Balan , she is coming there once a week and have the most expensive treatment and everybody know she is gonna give a big tip to Lola's girl after her treatment, but nobody can stand her because she is so annoying. but she love Malathi and start to ask Malathi for her spa treatment.
One day her son Ravi who study law in USA is coming home, Ravi want to educate people in his society by open a free school, and he wants everybody near him can read and he started it with his home, he start to teach all his maid and butler how to read, include his mother personal maid Nirmala.
When ravi start to love Nirmala and his mother can do nothing to make Ravi stay away from her, then she go to the Salon and gave Nirmala the best treatment so she can be like a princess, and Malathi is the one who do all the treatment for Nirmala. Eventually Mrs. Balan did all of that not for free, she go to her cousin party, her cousin is a bad man and have many girl in his home , then after that Nirmala never back to Mrs. Balan home because she is already belong to mrs. Balan's cousin mistress.
knowing what happen to Nirmala, Malathi got mad and decide a revenge to Mrs. balan, because she think she is not supposed to do that to Nrmala, nah when Mrs. Balan ask a treatment for his hair, Malathi gave her something and make mrs. Balan head ended bold. whet happen in the next day is Malathi got fired, ... and her One Amazing Thing is her courage to do that for Nirmala.
But the good thing is Lola didn't blame her and give her address in Amrice so she can go there and work in India embassy to save eanough money so when she come back to India she can open a salon like Lola. and there you are malathi there in India Embsassy ...
~ Mr. Mangalam
He is Malathi's boss, he was born in a poor family as the one and only son, so his father do anything to send him study in University and thst's make him do anything to reply what his father already did, in a short way. He decide to do that by marry to a rich girl named Nania, and yes, he has a good career and salary but he found out that his wive is not like what he imagine, he wanted to be free ....
He wanted to divorce her but that's impossible because his father in law is gonna make him have nothing if he leave his daughter for another woman, so he ask to work in USA in India embassy just to stay away from his wife, and his One Simple Thing is maybe his regret for everything he did, and his dream to find a real live ....

he is a Vietnam War veteran, his One Little Thing is also a regret why he leave his pregnat girlfriend and told her to aborted their unborn child, and he think the Karma is keep following him because after he leave his grilfriend and found out that his grilfriend already aborted their child he kept fail for everything he did, his college, scholarship, and in the end he join the army and spent many years in Vietman.
after he bcak to USA, he meet a monk named Jeff who told him many things about karma and the other things and Jeff told him to adopt a child from orphanage in India to make his karma for ask his grilfrien to kill their child , and the child name is Seva, Now he is here in India embassy because he want to go to India meet Siva .
nah what i get from this book is everybody have their own One Amazing Thing, no matter what, something that change their live, ... and in this book Chitra Banerjee makes me wanna go to a salon in India and have all the treatment and i wanna smell all the lotion and oil they used there .... What i hear now is Ayurvedra treatment is the most expensive treatment in spa, ... i mean India spa ... spa? i never go to spa, because i know i am gonna boring there ....
what/who is my One Amazing Thing?
i have no idea, i know i have that, but it just hard for me to pull out that from my brain, so for now let me just say this man is my amazing thing, well he gave me alot and call me crazy but he just everywhere for me, .... why? because i am his fangirl and i live in this fandom world ...

after that she decide to foget her memories of Calcutta and start to speak Mandarin and act like she can't speak English in front of her grandaughter. and now she is here in India emabassy because she think this is the perfect time for her to go back to India, to see her home and her memories again before she died.

Mr. and Mrs. Prichett is going to India for vacation, they wanna visit Taj Mahal and they wanna try a new hotel there, like what the advertisement said if today is a trend in India where an old palace turn in to a hotel so the guess is gonna feel like a maharaj and maharani there.
But Mr. Prichett. also have something in his live, his One Amazing Thing, it is his mother. For Little Lancelot, his mother is his Sleeping Beauty, he is gonna keep looking at her just to make sure if she is still breating and live, he is so affraid what if she just stop breathing and what is gonna happen to him.
even his mother is not agood mother like his other friend have, but for him his mother is the best , he love when his mother gonna read him a story, the same story : King Arthur and The Round Table Knights and she gave hima Lancelot for his name because she really love Lancelote on that story.
about Lancelot, i remember this movie The First Knight , a love triangle story between King Arthur, Guinevre aand one of his Round Table knight Lancelot, ... Guinevre who sent to Camelot to be King Arthur wife meet Lancelot on his way to Camelot and they just fall in Love each other. and when they meet again in Camelot as The King 's wife and noble knight, they try to let their love go, because Arthur is a nobel man, and they both love and respect him so much so they decide tu burn their love , but too bad King Arthur already know about what happen between them ....
awww i hate this movie ending why did they (Guinevre and Lancelot) do that to their King (Sean Conery) and they just got in the love triangle because eventually Arthur also love his wife so much as much he love and trust Lancelot as his number one kight in Camelot . and it's funny when both Guinevre and Lancelot hope if they never meet before. ....
Back to Lancelot Prichett, ... what he did watching his mom breathing , i also did that, .... i feel the same thing when i was little, keep watching her breathing in her sleep and how affraid i am if she is gonna stop breath, i dunno what is happen with me if i don't have my mom,
but for Mrs. Prichett is different, her One Amazing Thing is a love that she never had from his husband, for all this time she always think she has everything a big house, wealthy live even they have no children, but she just realize among all of that she feel empty, what she want is his husband true love and when she think he is not gonna give that to her, she ask her husband to India for vacation but her main plan is she is gonna leave him there and go everywhere she want to to a place where nobody know her and start a new life . and there you are they both in India embassy now ...

Tariq is an India American born, even he is muslim but he always live with American style, but everything is different when his mother's friend daughter come to stay in their home for a year because she got a scholarship here in USA from his college in Delhi, .... her name is Farah. She is Tariq One Amazing Thing
Because of Farah, Tariq start to change his live, he wanna be a muslim, a good muslim, hge start to pray again, read Qur'an and having his beard long, and because of that everybody look at him differently (that's after what happen on 9/11) and then his father was interogated by FBI or something else. after home his father change to be a different perdon and got sick.
cannot stand for what happen his mother decide to sell their home and bussines and go back home to India, and start a new family there with Farah's mother help so Tariq is gonna be in India to make sure everything is okay before his mother and father move there. and there you are he is in India embassy today .
~ Malathi
Malathi is the India embassy officer, she is from Pakistan, she came to America for working, before that she is a daughter of a quite wealthy man in Pakistan but not rich, because she failed two times in her first grade in highschool, his dan think it would be better to find her a husband than spend a lot of money to pay her shool.
So her mother take her to a salon named The Lovely Ladies, the owner name is Lolato have her bride photo to give to the matchmaker so she is gonna get a nice husband wbut with negotiable price for mahar. But then after get a treatment in Lola's salon Malathi found herself interest in this things and decide to work there, and there you are she is Lola's girl now, and she really enjoyed her job and Lola is so kind to her.
thare one consumen in Lola's salon named Mrs. Balan , she is coming there once a week and have the most expensive treatment and everybody know she is gonna give a big tip to Lola's girl after her treatment, but nobody can stand her because she is so annoying. but she love Malathi and start to ask Malathi for her spa treatment.
One day her son Ravi who study law in USA is coming home, Ravi want to educate people in his society by open a free school, and he wants everybody near him can read and he started it with his home, he start to teach all his maid and butler how to read, include his mother personal maid Nirmala.
When ravi start to love Nirmala and his mother can do nothing to make Ravi stay away from her, then she go to the Salon and gave Nirmala the best treatment so she can be like a princess, and Malathi is the one who do all the treatment for Nirmala. Eventually Mrs. Balan did all of that not for free, she go to her cousin party, her cousin is a bad man and have many girl in his home , then after that Nirmala never back to Mrs. Balan home because she is already belong to mrs. Balan's cousin mistress.
knowing what happen to Nirmala, Malathi got mad and decide a revenge to Mrs. balan, because she think she is not supposed to do that to Nrmala, nah when Mrs. Balan ask a treatment for his hair, Malathi gave her something and make mrs. Balan head ended bold. whet happen in the next day is Malathi got fired, ... and her One Amazing Thing is her courage to do that for Nirmala.
But the good thing is Lola didn't blame her and give her address in Amrice so she can go there and work in India embassy to save eanough money so when she come back to India she can open a salon like Lola. and there you are malathi there in India Embsassy ...

He is Malathi's boss, he was born in a poor family as the one and only son, so his father do anything to send him study in University and thst's make him do anything to reply what his father already did, in a short way. He decide to do that by marry to a rich girl named Nania, and yes, he has a good career and salary but he found out that his wive is not like what he imagine, he wanted to be free ....
He wanted to divorce her but that's impossible because his father in law is gonna make him have nothing if he leave his daughter for another woman, so he ask to work in USA in India embassy just to stay away from his wife, and his One Simple Thing is maybe his regret for everything he did, and his dream to find a real live ....

nah what i get from this book is everybody have their own One Amazing Thing, no matter what, something that change their live, ... and in this book Chitra Banerjee makes me wanna go to a salon in India and have all the treatment and i wanna smell all the lotion and oil they used there .... What i hear now is Ayurvedra treatment is the most expensive treatment in spa, ... i mean India spa ... spa? i never go to spa, because i know i am gonna boring there ....

i have no idea, i know i have that, but it just hard for me to pull out that from my brain, so for now let me just say this man is my amazing thing, well he gave me alot and call me crazy but he just everywhere for me, .... why? because i am his fangirl and i live in this fandom world ...
