Oh, bollocks. A nougat.

Why chocolatiers insist on ruining perfectly good chocolates with nougat, of all things is beyond me.

I find it quite disgusting and not a compliment to the prefection, with moderation, that is chocolate at all.

Hmph. Chocolate isn't perfect in the first place unless it's practically straight cocoa.

Of course. The more cocoa content there is, the closer to perfection--and the more expensive. I can only afford so much on a teacher's salary, captain.

Well, let's see...I've got coconut, caramel, dark, milk, white, mix...and a chocolate peanut butter cup!

If you could spare a bit of the dark, I would be extremely grateful to you.

Nougat is certainly an acquired taste but I certainly agree that such a concoction has nearly become an unnecessary standard in chocolates today.

I don't care for it at all. What I hate the most is boxes where the little label-sheet gets lost and you have no idea which ones to avoid.

Ah, you share my similar grievances.

The packaging for a majority of these sweets do not state clearly if the chocolate is filled with nougat or not. The same for caramel, something I utterly dislike...

Caramel I don't mind so much.

Perhaps the best way to go about eating a box of chocolates then is to share with someone else whose tastes run just opposite to yours.
