Oh, this was gorgeous. I really, really love this AU, so I'm thrilled to see more! and this was such a perfect look at a moment in their lives. Awesome.

Oh, that was sweet - the boys making time for just themselves before the world intrudes again.

Nice way to sort of bookend it with Brad starting the narrative acknowleding he doesn't say the words as often as he should and ending with Nate knowing just when he needs to say them.

Cuz Brad's a little mush-ball that way.

Oh this is gorgeous! I just read both parts and I love how well Brad and Nate work as a detective and a lawyer, I love Nate's profession in particular and how you make it both something that suits him very well but also isn't exactly what he wants - it's so interesting to see Brad observe him like this, to see for himself that Nate isn't completely happy, but that he's still doing whatever he can when he feels like it'll make a positive difference. My favorite part of their dynamic is the tension in it, the flow and charge of the power they both have in spades if in different ways, and I want to read like a hundred thousand words about Brad just observing Nate and ... not wanting to like what he finds, but still being utterly impressed by him, because you write that so well, you write it so believably

I hadn't seen the first fic in this verse before but I love how your boys are all BAMF-y at work when really they're giant saps underneath! (Well in a tie you to the bed post sort of way) :D

Oh, obviously I re-read the previous fic, how could I not :D In that one I loved the bit when Brad saw the look in Nate's eyes after he won the trial, in this one it's the "I love you" paragraph. It seems like with all the awesomeness and cuteness you put into the stories, you're still able to write something that gets me even more than the rest of it <3
